The Devonshire Arms first became a Public House in 1883, which makes the Devonshire Arms one of the oldest pubs in the market town of Ulverston.

The Devonshire Arms is one of the few free house establishments within Ulverston, and has won a number of CAMRA awards for its superb range of Cask Ales. The ranges include Cumbria Legendry ales such as Langdale, Buttermere Beauty, Golden Pippin and Loweswater Gold. Also available are the ever popular ales from Banktop and York brewery.
